Dr. Stubblefield was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended Ricks Jr. College in Rexburg, Idaho (now Brigham Young University-Idaho) on a football scholarship. He received his BS degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in April 1974.
After spending a few years teaching high school and coaching football, and a few years in the swimming pool business, he decided to pursue a career in Chiropractic. He graduated in the top 10% of his class from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in August 1984.
He settled his family in Yuba City, CA and began practicing with Dr. Paul Sunshine Jr. in January of 1985. After a year of practicing together, Dr. Stubblefield took over Dr. Sunshine’s practice. Added together, 2.5 years of Sunshine Chiropractic and 32.5 years of Stubblefield Chiropractic, makes 35 years of continued Chiropractic in the Yuba City Area.
Dr. Stubblefield has been married to his wife, Laurel Hawley Stubblefield, for 49 years. They have 6 children, all of whom are married, and they are the proud grandparents of 34 grandchildren.
Dr. Stubblefield became interested in the Activator Methods in 1985 and became Advanced Proficiency rated in 1986. He continues to use Activator Methods and attends annual continuing education seminars to keep his rating current.
